Songs from a Mad World

Bomb

They build bombs with the taxes you pay
There are thousands of people who work every day
building bombs with the money donated by you
to drop on some kids, just a family or two
It's another job done with the money you paid
Are you pleased that it's turned out that way?
Are you pleased that it's turned out that way?

Those people who died was it just their bad luck?
Did you know those poor folks? Did you hate them so much?
That you paid so much money to have them all killed
That you paid so much money for people so skilled
in another job done for the money you paid
Are you pleased that it turned out that way?
Are you pleased that it turned out that way?

Was it money well spent, could you spare all that dough?
Will you sleep so much better every night now you know
that the bomb that they dropped it was yours
And no thanks are ever needed of course
for the funding you give for this game
And the bomb that they dropped bears your name
Yes the bomb that they dropped bears your name
And I hope you work hard to make money to donate
more shekels and dollars to make you feel safe
as you subsidize death as you work overtime
killings kids you dont know, I guess it feels fine
seeing bombs that you paid for all with your name
Are you proud that they carry your name?
Are you proud that they carry your name?

You Paid!
And you'll pay again some day
For someone will make sure
that you pay a lot more
